10 Thoughts You Might Have When First Starting at RevolutioniZe

Written by Rev Nutritionist, Kristin Mason

1. This is so much food, I’m never going to lose weight.

It may seem like more food, but you are probably just eating more high volume, nutrient dense foods. That, along with the higher protein will increase feelings of satiety, making you think it’s a lot of food, but I can assure you that it’s not too many calories.

2. I am starving.

If you find that you are hungry, try eating more high-volume foods as opposed to calorie dense foods. Also make sure you are hitting your macros. Be sure to express this to your nutritionist, so we can more specifically help you.

3. I’m having trouble hitting my macros.

If this is the case, try going off the sample meal templates that we create for you. These are meant to help you become more familiar with tracking and using MyFitnessPal. Also, you can always reach out to your nutritionist for ideas given your remaining macros for the day.

4. I don’t want to bother my nutritionist, I’ll just wait to ask her at our next meeting.

I can assure you that you’re not bothering us. We would much rather answer a question as soon as you have it, rather than waiting until your next meeting, which you may even forget by then. We will do our best to answer as soon as we can, but if we do not get back to you immediately, you will at least know the answer for future reference.

5. I fell off track, so I’ll just cancel my meeting this week.

DO NOT DO THIS!!! If you are off track, that’s more of a reason to come in so we can help you get back on track. We will never yell at you. We want to see you succeed and will do whatever we can to make sure you are getting the results you want.

6. I’m going to purposely go low on my macros so I see faster results.

Wrong. If you do this, you are not “beating the system”, you are only hurting yourself. We come up with the macronutrient breakdown specific to you, for a reason. Not so you can just make up your own numbers. If you consistently eat less than your given macronutrient breakdown, in the case that you plateau, instead of, for instance, plateauing at 1500 calories as you would if you were following the macros, you would plateau at a much lower number and we would have to adjust based on those numbers.

7. I need new meal ideas.

If you’re tired of boneless, skinless, chicken breast, there are a ton of other options and meal ideas out there. You can check out our Instagram @revolutionizeusa for some ideas that other Rev members have shared, as well as share your own ideas with us so we can share with everyone. You can also purchase The Revolutionize Cookbook at our storefront or HERE.

8. Why didn’t I lose 10 pounds after my first week?

If you’ve ever done a fad diet, you probably recall having a big drop in the beginning. The problem though is that it is not fat, it's water weight. It is not going to stay off. We want to make sure you are losing body fat, which is why this is not a quick fix.

9. When are we going to adjust my macros?

As long as the macros are working, and we are continuing to see progress, we are not going to change them. Why fix something that’s not broken? If you are seeing results with higher numbers, we are not going to adjust. We will also only adjust on scan days if we stop seeing progress in the scan.

10. What should my goal be?

Everyone has different goals, whether they want to lose fat, put on muscle, lean out, get shredded, etc. We are not going to tell you what your goals should be! That is completely up to you. We customize your plan based on many different factors including your goals. The best goal to have is not a number (weight on the scale, body fat percentage, etc.) but rather an image of yourself that you want to look like.
